About The Club

We hope you like the new layout and find it simple to use and of course that you also enjoy the content. The site will take some time to mature and develop. We welcome all members to please contact the committee for access to the Members Only Pages as well as to participate in our new forum chat pages.

LCGB stands for ‘The Lighter Club of Great Britain’. We are a Club for Cigarette Lighter collectors and dealers, whether newcomers to the hobby, or well established enthusiasts. We believe we have something to offer Members at all levels, irrespective of their type or degree of interest; and the amount of their budget.

The Club was formed on the 29th October1990 by Richard Ball. And since that day is run by an elected Committee chosen by the Members themselves. We are a non-profit making organisation, with a worldwide membership. Although the majority of Members do come from the UK, we have Members in all the continents, with many Members in both Europe and the U.S.A.

Collecting Lighters

We love lighters and everything about them! Members have a huge breadth of knowledge of lighters both new and old.

We use the club and its resources to actively trade lighters and visit trading shows and events.

The club publishes a quarterly magazine to members. Join to access this month’s magazine and a glimps of some past issues.
